The new Hoodoo Witch single is now available for download exclusively on our website!   In this day and age where you have to pay for a subscription to a streaming service to listen to a song as many times as you like without ads, I wanted to offer it to my friends on the email list first.  You can click here https://www.jasonelmore.net/music and purchase the download for however much you like, and then it is yours to own and add to your music library to enjoy forever.

I think you'll really dig the new single.   It's a re-imagining of a soul/blues song called “She's A Burglar”, written by Jerry Ragovoy and first recorded in 1971 by Howard Tate, but I first heard it on a Freddie King record from 1974 called ‘Burglar’.   We made it our own and took some liberties with it but we strived to be respectful to the classic versions that are so groovy.  We traded the horn sections for pure Texas trio stank.

This will be the first of three singles that we have ready to be released, all three of which are re-imagined cover tunes that we have had in our live set for awhile and have honed into our own thing.  They may be uploaded to streaming sites in the future but probably will never be pressed onto a CD or vinyl, so this is your only chance to own it for yourself.

All three tunes were recorded at Cecca Studio in Dallas, TX and were engineered, mixed, and mastered by Tye Robison, who also did our “Rise Up Lights” album.   The artwork for the single was done by the talented and lovely Lauren Elmore.

Stay subscribed to our mailing list so you'll be alerted when the new singles drop in a few weeks and enjoy it for awhile before anybody else gets the word about it.   I hope the new single brings you some joy.  As always, play the dog gone thing as loud as you can stand it.  Thanks so much!

Happy Halloween!
